Doug is passionate about instigating community that understands itself to be in service to our neighborhood, city and world. Doug is married to Robin and they have two sons, Patrick and Robert. He has a degree in Biblical Studies from Asbury College, MA in Theology from Wheaton and a Masters of Divinity from MTS in Chicago. Doug has been an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA) since 1987.

An ordained minister since 2008, he can often be found cooking breakfast or distributing coffee and sandwiches around the city while being briefed on issues of justice by those he seeks to serve.
