Sunday Gatherings - 5pm - 1330 Burlington Avenue North St Petersburg, FL 33705

First of all, we should confess: we don't view the church as a place, but as a people. We are the church. So, it should come as no suprise that we imagine a holistic christian life looking very different than mere Sunday attendance. That said, we encourage our community to gather together regularly so that we might share the stories of mission that are happening the rest of the week. We do this with the hope that it might shape us all into people who practice God's dream "on earth as it is in heaven".

So what do our Sunday Gatherings look like? We chose this YELP review because we thought it might give you a taste of what you could expect on a typical Sunday:

"I visited Missio last weekend for the first time. I was nervous and had no idea what to expect. I walked in and it was as awkward as one would expect, when one is walking into a room full of people you don't know.

However, it didn't take long for Alexander and Katie to walk over and start chatting with me. Then over walks Joe and a conversation took off. After a few minutes it felt like I was at a coffee shop chillin with my friends, rather than at church with strangers. :-)

So, I highly recommend Missio to anyone and everyone. It's a great experience whether, you have been going to church for years and want to try something new, or if you have never been to church in your life and are seeking to find out what Christianity is all about, you have found a great place!

The people are warm and friendly. The atmosphere is creative and inspiring. There's art on the walls and candles at the front. The talks are interactive and engaging. Everything you "know" about church.... throw it out the window on the drive over!

There aren't pews. There are cafe tables and chairs. There aren't pastors lecturing. There are people facilitating a discussion. There aren't people in suits with hollow expressionless faces sitting in pews simply existing. There are people in shorts and t-shirts with questions and comments that are full of life! There is a community.

If you want to make your faith your own and go on a journey with a community Missio is the place you need to be.

I have a worldview that says: "It's not about me. It's never gonna be about me. It's about them. It's about my community." Now, I've found a church with the same worldview and it's amazing."
